About Us
The South Plainfield Summer Drama Workshop has become a tradition in South Plainfield. This youth summer theatre program in its 38th season has a number of goals. Some of these are building confidence, teaching teamwork and responsibility, and often reveals the hidden talents of its participants. The students are given the opportunity to participate in every aspect of the production, from acting, singing, and dancing, performing in the orchestra, set and costume contructions, make-up, stage crew, lighting, ticket sales, and fundraising. Produced through the volunteer efforts of dedicated individuals and under the auspices of the South Plainfield Adult School, the participants develop an appreciation for this truly American art form.
